עצרת מחאה בכפר
קאסם
שבת, 13 בספטמבר 2003 בשבועות האחרונים החלו כוחות משמר הגבול להגביר את הלחץ וההטרדות בכפר קאסם על בעלי החנויות והמוסכים, ועל תושבים רבים אחרים, חלקם גם חברינו האישיים. נוכחותם בכפר קאסם תוגברה, כשהסיבה הרשמית היא "חיפוש אחר שוהים בלתי חוקיים". כך קרה לאחרונה גם במקומות אחרים בארץ: בנגב, בטייבה ועוד. ביום חמישי, 11 בספטמבר, הגיעו שוטרים לכפר והחלו לבקש תעודות זהות מאנשים במקום. לאחר דין ודברים, התפתחה במקום מהומה. התוצאה: תושב כפר קאסם נורה ונפצע באורח בינוני, ויש כמובן עוד פצועים ועצורים. שבוע אחרי פרסום דוח ועדת אור נראה שמג"ב כמנהגו נוהג. אזרחי ישראל הערבים עדיין נתפסים כאויב, והאצבע על ההדק שמולם קלה באופן בלתי נסבל. כאשר מדובר בערבים, כל סיבה מספיק טובה כדי לירות. בשבת 13 בספטמבר התקיימה בכפר קאסם עצרת, בהשתתפות תנועת תעאיוש במחאה על אירועי השבועות האחרונים ואירועי יום חמישי. the inhabitants
of Kufr
Kassem, especially owners of shops and garages, have been experiencing
a noticeable increase of pressure and harassments by the hands of
Border Police forces. These forces patrol the town frequently, under
the official pretext of "searching for Palestinians who entered Israel
illegally". It has been the same in other places in the country: the
Negev, Taybeh and more. On Thursday, September 11th, policemen came to the town, asking for identification cards from people present. After some arguments, a violent incident ensued. The result: an inhabitant of Kufr Kassem was shot and wounded, and others were injured and arrested. A week after the
publication of
the Or Committee, it seems as though the Border Police continue their
previous behavior. The Arab citizens of Israel are still perceived as
enemies, the law enforcement opposite them has an extremely light
finger on the trigger. When it comes to Arabs, any reason is good
enough to shoot.
On
Saturday, Sept. 13th, Ta'ayush members participated in an assembly,
organized by our friends in Kufr Kassem, in protest of the events of
the last few weeks, and
especially those of Thursday.
