On Sunday at the District Court, Judge Timen has scheduled the next court sessions for July and September(!). As Tali was arrested on August 8th, it looks like the judges would keep her imprisoned for at least a year -- 6 months have already gone by.

A Gagged & Hand-Cuffed Birthday Party

Tomorrow, Tuesday February 8th 2005, Tali will be 29. We, members of her family, friends, admirers, and supporters will celebrate her birthday in a subversive stunning birthday street-party.

At 15:00 hours, outside Neve Tirza Prison in Ramla, we will have balloons, light candles, eat the birthday cake, dance, make our voices heard across the wall of government tyranny, and send Tali a message of love and solidarity.

At 20:00 hours, after-party @ Salon Mazal, 3 Simta Almonit, Tel-Aviv.

We promise that when you are in jail, we'll protest and celebrate your birthday too. Till then -- Come show your solidarity with Tali.

On Tuesday, at the same time, the Taba Summit will take place: when the government of Israel celebrates having a dialogue with Palestinians, Tali Fahima is punished for... having a dialogue with Palestinians. Sharon talks to Abu-Mazen who just had his photo-op with Zakariya Zbeyde, Tali Fahima has already spent 6 months in jail for the very same thing.

Tali Fahima's imprisonment, solitary confinement, silencing her and forbidding other prisoners to talk to tell about Sharon's government relation toward the occupation and toward resistance to the occupation more than any summit can.
